FROM TERRY'S DESK
A few weeks back you may have noticed on your pay stubs a “Hazard Pay” or I would like to have entitled it “Heroes” pay. This money became available to you because of the PPP you hear things about on the news. I hope that it helped you out and you were able to put it to good use. It’s been difficult during the COVID season to cover all our shifts for all our clients. Some caregivers have been off for various issues including Testing, Quarantining, plus just regular personal reasons. We’ve been successful in holding the puzzle together and my thanks for the admin staff for doing an over the top job. Since it is a fragile time for our elderly in facilities as well people coming home with or without caregivers, we want to be able to capture any and all clients who are willing to let us in their homes. We hope to keep their schedules stable and not put in a lot of changes, which many times can be impossible. Our schedule from the inside track is like a big Jenga game with a lot of pieces sometimes wobbling The smallest change can topple the whole tower. Stephanie, Kylie & Sue constantly shift pieces of the schedule around however, It is important for all of you to realize that even small shifts of care that change due to call offs can make the wobbly tower fall. All of you are so very important to your clients as well as our reputation & dependability as a company. Any hours lost due to any reason of call offs, is a decrease of revenue which we need to avoid. I want to thank you all very much for all that you do for Comfort Keepers as well as your clients. Please reach out to us if you are having any difficulty and we will do what we can to help you as well. We’re in the 2nd week of June right now and things seem to be looking up in the outside world compared to April and May. So far we have not had any cases of COVID in our client base or our caregivers who were tested. I am still conservative regarding going into any types of people crowding of any kind and would recommend the same to all of you. BE SAFE NOT SORRY……………. We need to protect ourselves and others.
